WIN Block at Spencer School

At Spencer School, we believe that every student deserves the time, support, and challenge they need to grow! That’s why we have WIN Block!
WIN stands for “What I Need.” During WIN Block, students receive targeted instruction and support based on their individual learning needs. These flexible groups give teachers and support staff dedicated time to provide extra practice, intervention, enrichment, or opportunities to extend learning.
During this time, students may receive:
📖 Additional support in reading, writing, and math
🎯 Small-group instruction focused on specific skills
🚀 Enrichment and extension to deepen learning
💡 Extra opportunities to practice and build confidence
📊 Targeted instruction based on student data and progress
🌱 Flexible support that can change as students grow
WIN groups are not about putting students into permanent groups. Instead, they allow us to respond to what students need right now and adjust support as their learning progresses.
