Spencer Elementary School Featured in CT Insider Article - September 24, 2026

Spencer Elementary School and the Middletown Public Schools Food, Nutrition and Wellness Services Department were featured in a CT Insider article published on Wednesday, September 23. Reporters from the media outlet visited several schools across the state on Tuesday, September 22, and documented the lunch being served to students that day.

In addition to Spencer Elementary, reporters visited schools in Willimantic, Greenwich, Bridgeport, Manchester, and Southbury.

On the menu for students at Spencer Elementary that particular day: beef nachos, served with salsa, sour cream, and nacho cheese, rice, roasted chickpeas, apples, baby carrots, and milk.
